Khoirabari College was established on 16th August 1991, first as a Junior College and in 1993 Degree Section was introduced to impart higher education to the students of the backward region, situated in the South-Western part of the Udalguri District under BTAD on the cost of some dignitories and industrious fellows’tireless efforts of the greater Khoirabarians. In the year 2009, the BTC Government announced and included the college under deficit system of grant -in- aid. Fortunately, the college has been provincialised on 1st January, 2013 by the Assam Government.

Meanwhile, the college is providing major courses in all subjects in all prescribed departments. Moreover, Several career-oriented courses have been introduced in the college campus which is a great source of Knowledge to help the students of the region, viz, PGDCA, Spoken English etc. There is a study centre of KKHOU with courses like BPP, BA, BCA, etc. we feel proud that this year an NSS unit is also formed to help the students on nation building.

It is remarkable that in this knowledge-era, college cannot pursue her academic objectives in seclusion and should be deeply concerned about sustainable development, democratic values and imparting proper competence to younger generation.
